CLARE'S STORY
I’ve walked this path, too.
I founded SEND Law Unravelled because I have navigated the SEND system for my own child.
I understand the frustration of sitting in meetings where the law feels like a different language and the weight of trying to advocate for your child while navigating a system that can feel overwhelming.
During my own journey, I realised that while the legal framework exists to protect children, it is rarely explained clearly to the people who need it most: parents.
The Professional Expertise
I have always had a strong interest in the law, holding a Law Degree and a deep understanding of how legal frameworks protect individual rights.
To ensure I could provide the highest level of support to families, I went on to complete IPSEA’s SEND Law training (Levels 1–3).
This allows me to combine legal knowledge with real-world experience to provide guidance that is both accurate and practical.
This combination enables me to bridge the gap between complex law and everyday reality, helping parents understand not just what the law says, but how to use it.
My Mission
At SEND Law Unravelled, my goal is to help parents understand the law that underpins decisions about their child’s support.
When you understand how the system is meant to work, you are in a far stronger position to ask the right questions, challenge decisions and advocate effectively.
